Finding The Perfect Ballet Teacher
Hiring a good ballet teacher has always been important to me as a studio owner. For any studio owner that has a competition company knows how important it is for our students to have good technique. We want to make sure we have a ballet teacher who will work on proper technique and run a proper ballet class rather than a teacher you hire to teach ballet but then instead chooses to teach the students modern or lyrical routines or worse, just spend the time talking to the students.
This is just one of the many reasons I am so passionate about the new website I co-launched, Dance Studio Finder. I love that studios can look through dance teachers’ resumes in their area and find teachers with the qualifications they want in a ballet teacher. We of course cannot guarantee you will find the perfect teacher, but we can guarantee that we will continually work hard to add more and more resumes so that hopefully eventually our services will help you find the teacher for you. You can also post your job listing so that dance teachers who aren’t already in our system can find the job and apply. We know that when you dreamed of owning a dance studio one day you did not dream that all your time and energy would be spent finding teachers so we are glad we can help studio owners in any way we can get back to doing what they really set out to do.

Elizabeth Emery is a former dance studio owner. She owned Dancers Unite in Charlotte, NC for 6 years, where she helped run the studio as well as taught dance classes six days a week. She sold her studio to one of her teachers and now dedicates her time helping other dance studio owners as well as dance teachers with her new business, Dance Teacher Finder, which helps pair dance studios with dance instructors. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and double majored in Business Economics and Marketing. Elizabeth currently splits her time between Charlotte, North Carolina and Salt Lake City, Utah.
