Overview
Seeking a part-time teacher for Intermediate to Advanced level Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial dance. Ability to teach Beginning to Intermediate level Tap and Ballet classes is preferred. Dancers are part of a highly competitive dance team and attend top level Convention/Competition events. We also have many students aspiring to work in the commercial dance world as well as going on to dance in college. We have students attending Point Park, Marymount Manhattan and Julliard, as well as other dance programs throughout the Mid-West. We are looking for a team member to aid in getting our students to reach those goals and aspirations. We also take pride in maintaining a positive dance environment for students and focus on the dancer as whole, mind – body – spirit. We take pride in our dancers and teachers and appreciate their commitment to our program. Attention to technical detail is a must. Therefore, knowledge of body awareness techniques such as Pilates, Alexander Technique, Kinesiology, Yoga, Anatomy or others of the like are beneficial. If you have an eye for cleaning dances, we would love to put you to work cleaning competition pieces as well and possibly choreographing. Willing to help with relocation for the right applicant.
