Overview

Since its establishment in 2003, City Ballet San Francisco (CBSF) has placed students into national and international professional ballet and dance companies, as well as prestigious universities. Taught by exceptional faculty with strong knowledge in Vaganova training, CBSF has always strived for the best Vaganova staff in the US. Our students perform in professional-quality productions multiple times a year and are provided with mentorship and cultural immersion opportunities that expand their artistic education – developing into some of the best dancers in the industry.

We are looking for an experienced ballet teacher that specializes in the Vaganova Method to join our CBSF family in our brand new state-of-the-art facility with all new studios and in-house theater.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach Ballet Technique, Variations, and Character classes to students ages 13-18
  • Rehearse students for multiple CBSF performances
  • Develop students to their highest potential in both technique and artistry
  • Create a safe and productive learning environment
  • Parent/Teacher conferences
  • Coordinate with other teachers in regards to curriculum, level placement, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Must have been personally trained in the Vaganova Method
  • Must have experience in a professional ballet company
  • Must have significant previous teaching experience in ballet and character
  • Willing to continue learning from and working with other faculty members

SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday: 4:00 – 8:00pm

Saturday: 9:30 – 3:00pm

Additional weekend rehearsals will be scheduled during rehearsal periods

SALARY

$60,000 – $69,000 per year
