Nomad Stages, a small children’s theatre company operating in Stephenville, NL is expanding! We will be opening a performing arts studio in the Fall of 2019 (hopefully October). We are looking to hire part-time or full-time dance instructors, to teach both children and adults.
Job Description: The successful candidate will teach numerous dance classes, in a variety of styles and methodologies, which may include ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and others. The age range of students may be toddler to adult. The position will also involve choreographing routines and selecting music for various shows, recitals and musical theatre productions.
Salary will be start at $25+ an hour (based on qualifications and experience).
Requirements
Friendly, professional and motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong fundamentals in a variety of styles of dance
Experience teaching a wide range of ages and levels
Ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning needs
Ability to develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans
Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from Beginner to Advanced, ages 2 to adult
A Bachelor degree is preferred
