Beaufort, Hilton Head, SC needs Dance Teachers for Children
Hilton Head is growing, and not just for retirees…and services will be needed to accommodate these new residents.
Per The Island Packet, the metro area of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Beaufort was on the list of the nation’s 20 fastest growing metropolitan areas from 2013 to 2014.
This is continuing a population growth trend, as the year before, the area of Beaufort and Jasper counties had the 4th fastest growing population along the East Coast.
While the area has always attracted retirees and the military community, the population has grown beyond this – the area had 5,000 more workers in January 2015 compared to a year ago.
The housing market is growing – 735 sewers for new homes have been approved to date in 2015, and at this time last year, none had been approved.
These are families with children that are moving here – this is evidenced in the fact that Beaufort County public schools began the school year last September with 664 more students enrolled in the district compared with the year before. New schools will be opening in 2015 and 2016 to accommodate these new children, and more land has been set aside for a new middle school and elementary school in the future.
These children will need services in the area, such as dance lessons. This means dance studios in Beaufort County will be able to open new dance classes, which is great!

I can personally see why so many gravitate towards this area. I used to stay in my aunt’s condo every summer growing up and I loved the beauty of the island. As clearly many others feel the same way I do, the population will continue to grow and as a dance studio owner, I know you don’t want your competitors to be the ones benefitting from the new children in the area.
