Overview
VNB has an opening for a Ballet Master for the 2020-21 season. This is a part time position. The Ballet Master will give professional company class three to 5 days per week in the mornings, and assist with rehearsals as needed. Possible afternoon teaching hours at VNB School may also be offered. Preferred experience includes having worked as a dancer with a professional company, familiarity with Vaganova technique, advanced teaching experience, experience teaching professional level dancers, and experience as a rehearsal assistant or director. Must be able to learn choreography quickly and be able to dependably and correctly rehearse the dancers and assist the Artistic Director as needed.

2019-20 will be VNB's 8th season. The professional company is an Affiliate Arts Partner of the Hylton Performing Arts Center, a member of the Virginia Commission for the Arts Tour Directory, and presents a full season at the Hylton as well as tours in the State of Virginia and many outreach presentations.
