Be a part of a fun innovative dance studio! The Dance Factory offers instruction in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theater and more. We are looking for a team-oriented and creative dance educator and leader who is not afraid to “think outside of the box”. Enjoy a fun and collaborative work environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of teaching experience and 2+ years of leadership experience. Strong preference will be given to a candidate with the ability to teach multiple styles across various ages and levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach fun and energetic classes in various dance styles to students aged 3-adult.
    Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans.
    Assistance with choreography for competition teams as needed.
    Explain and demonstrate proper dance technique.
    Ability to connect and capture students’ attention, deliver information clearly, concisely and effectively.
    Establish and communicate clear objectives.
    Create choreography for classes and performances.
    Maintain student attendance records.
    Participation in quarterly staff meetings.
    Lead staff meetings on dance initiatives.
    Participation at Recitals and Events.
    Lead instructor training and classes.
    Give constructive criticism and feedback when needed.
    Create a welcoming, healthy and safe learning environment for all students to grow and learn by setting class-based rules and boundaries that are centered on mutual respect and understanding of our core values.
    Collaboration with other members of the faculty and staff
    Effective and timely communication in person and through email with staff.
    Support school-wide programs
    Work reflectively to set goals, receive constructive feedback and try new strategies to improve student achievement.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $49,920.00 to $54,080.00 /year

About The Dance Factory

The Dance Factory provides the community with a fun and comfortable environment to explore the performing art of Dance.

Our classes are offered in group settings, private, and semi private lessons. We welcome children and young adults striving to enrich their educational opportunities through dance, as well as adults and professional dancers interested in a secure place to practice their art.

Our state of the art studios are equipped with custom sprung dance floors which is essential to preventing injury. Our program, led by experienced instructors boast many years of professional dance experience and knowledge.
