Overview
Non-competitive, family-oriented dance studio hiring teachers for the 2021-2022 season (August 2021 through May 2022). Seeking positive, energetic, and upbeat dance instructors with a passion for helping their students grow and improve. Especially seeking individuals who have afternoon & early evening availability and skills to work with our youngest students. Also very interested in instructors for Acro.
Specifically seeking teachers in the following categories:
Ballet/Tap Combo – ages 3-7 years old (Daytime, Afternoon, Evening & Saturday availability preferred)
Hip Hop – Mini Hoppers (Ages 3-5 years old) & Hip Hop 1 (Ages 6-8 years old)
Acro – Tiny Tumblers, Intro to Acro, Acro 1
Preferred Work Experience:
-2 years of experience working with children and/or youth
– 1 or more years of teaching experience
– Choreography experience
Education:
– Preferred to be working on obtaining or already have obtained a degree in dance or similar field
Responsibilities of the job:
-Commit to a full school year contract (August – May)
– Conduct a constructive, fun, and positive learning experience
– Time manage your classroom to fit the schedule
– Choreograph a holiday dance in December and a recital dance in Spring
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
About Sacred Ground Dance
A non-competitive studio focusing on providing high quality dance instruction in an encouraging, family-focused environment. We strive to train the whole dancer and help our students to become better people as well as better dancers. We offer classes for ages 18 months to adult in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, pointe, musical theater, acro and drill team.
