Acro Dance Instructor — Phoenix Arts
Phoenix Arts is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Acro Dance Instructor for beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes on Mondays, 5:30–7:45 PM, at our studio in Norristown, PA, in the Philadelphia suburbs.
We’re an inclusive studio that welcomes dancers of all abilities. We’re looking for someone who can build students’ strength, flexibility, confidence, and technique while blending acrobatic skills with dance movement and transitions.
Responsibilities:
Plan engaging lessons appropriate for each class level.
Teach safe technique, progressions, and proper alignment.
Provide hands-on spotting within your training and ability.
Incorporate dance elements, musicality, and combinations.
Work with student assistants and communicate with the studio director.
Create a positive classroom where every dancer feels supported.
Qualifications:
Background in acro, dance, gymnastics, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of safe spotting and skill progressions.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Dependability, patience, and a willingness to learn our studio’s approach.
Previous teaching experience is preferred. We’re willing to train the right candidate with a strong technical foundation!
