db studios is a thriving and innovative dance studio located in Burlington, MA, known for pushing boundaries, fostering talent, and creating a space where dancers and instructors can truly flourish. We’re home to a passionate community of dancers from beginners to advanced competitive performers—and we’re growing fast!
As we expand, we’re seeking a full-time Competition Dance Team Director to lead, inspire, and elevate our competitive team to new heights.
What you’ll do in this role:
Lead and manage DB Studios’ competitive dance teams, ages 7–18.
Choreograph unique, innovative routines across multiple genres (jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, etc.).
Oversee training schedules, competition planning, rehearsals, and team auditions.
Mentor and inspire students to reach their highest potential—technically, creatively, and personally.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and studio leadership to continue evolving the DB Studios brand and artistic vision.
Communicate with parents and team members to foster a positive, respectful, and professional studio culture.

Who We’re Looking For:
A passionate, energetic, and experienced dance educator and choreographer with a strong competitive background.
Someone who’s confident leading a team, giving corrections, and mentoring dancers.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Excited about innovation and ready to bring fresh ideas to our competition program.
Comfortable working evenings and weekends (typical for dance studios and comp seasons).
Bonus if you have:
Experience directing competition teams
Acrobatic or hip-hop training
Prior experience working in a fast-growing studio environment

About db studios
Our youth dance program offers classes in: creative movement, classical ballet, pointe, and contemporary/lyrical jazz, as well as a competitive team.
As a studio we are looking for special instructors who are looking to have a profound impact on our students and community. We are seeking extremely driven and talented teachers to join us as we expand into our new dream location.
