Overview

Are you a passionate and self-driven partner dance instructor?
We’re a small, boutique dance studio seeking a part-time team member with experience and heart.

Our clientele is a pleasure to teach—primarily social dancers, newcomers to partner dancing, and a steady stream of wedding couples getting ready for their first dance.

If you thrive in a calm, positive, and focused teaching space—where you control the playlist, the ambiance, and the pace—this could be your ideal teaching environment.

Who we’re looking for:
You’re someone who’s taught wedding couples before and can confidently lead, follow, and create simple choreography. A warm, friendly teaching style and a professional, encouraging presence are essential.

This is currently a part-time role, with room to grow. You’ll be building your schedule gradually, so patience and a long-game mindset are key. While your teaching days will be consistent, we’re open to scheduling flexibility. Weekend days and Tuesday and Friday evening availability is especially valuable right now.

Dance styles you’ll teach:
Social Ballroom, Latin, Swing, general social dancing, and custom wedding dance choreography.

Lessons are one-on-one or small private groups, with the occasional off-site event, group class or opportunity to create video content.

Important details:
In compliance with California’s AB5 regulations, this is a W-2 employee position (not a contractor role). So, workers’ compensation is included, and we cover a portion of your taxes.

Compensation is per lesson, ranging from $25–$33 per 45-minute private lesson. Group instruction rates range from $40–$150/hour depending on format and size.

This is not your average loud, crowded dance floor. It’s a relaxed, intimate setting where both students and instructors can focus and thrive.
