Backstage performing arts is looking for a dynamic and confident individual that is a great performer with a passion in Aerial Arts to join our team. Musicality and the ability to confidently teach groups of children is so important! Applicants must be friendly, reliable, highly skilled at multitasking, have excellent communication skills, and be genuine and passionate about teaching children and teens.

Experienced in Aerial Silks
Previous teaching experience is a plus
Enthusiastic, confident and outgoing personality
Passion for teaching children
Dependable with a strong work ethic – natural willingness to go above and beyond
Confidence to energetically command a room of 5-10 kids or teens
Musicality – ability to keep rhythm and count to beat of music
Availability to teach a minimum of 3-10 classes per week (classes during the summer are normally during the day, but we are open to holding some classes in the evenings)
Diligent planning and preparation before each class, including diligent study of choreography and class planning prior to each class, as well as preparing students for recitals and performances
Assist with quick set up and cleaning duties
All new teachers are required to train for a couple days and observe other teachers. Also they will be asked to show a basic curriculum before starting to teach.
All new teachers must get a background check
COMPENSATION & PERKS:
This position offers a very competitive base rate of $13-22/hour
