ABOUT YELLOWKNIFE, NWT

Are you active, love the sun AND the snow, and are looking for a change?

If so, we’ve got your perfect place for you - the city on top of the world.

Yellowknife is a city filled with opportunities for personal and professional development. It's also a place where you can raise a family, have a rewarding career, take time for yourself and contribute to your community. It’s big enough that you can always meet new people, but small enough to build strong connections with those you meet.

Yellowknife is a city for someone who loves the outdoors. In summer, our midnight sun offers incredible opportunities to play outside well into the night, swimming, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, and exploring. The winter brings lots of ice and snow - perfect for skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, ice road driving, and some of the best northern light viewing in the world.

Vast wilderness areas, lakes, and breathtaking views, as well as it’s storied history makes Yellowknife one of the most interesting places you’ll ever live.

Yellowknife has a bustling arts community - all seasons offer festivals and unique events to build connection between the community, such as Folk on the Rocks, the Snowking festival, and Jamborees on the shores (or frozen surfaces) of our many lakes.
