Overview
Ultimate Ballroom Dance Studio is a premier ballroom dance studio outside of Memphis, Tennessee. We are fortunate that in addition to a steady number of new students we also have many students who have been with the studio since its opening in 2012. We are growing quickly and are hoping to add another male instructor. Memphis has wonderful arts, food, music, parks and is best known for being where Elvis Presley is from.

We take great pride in offering a high level of professionalism and commitment to our students and would ask that all instructors maintain the highest standards in keeping with the reputation of the studio. We invite top level coaches to the studio on a regular basis to work with the students and their instructors and they are always extremely well received and complimentary about the level of dancing at the studio.
Experience in any and all ballroom dance stvles is helpful, but a command of International Standard or American Smooth would be particularly useful. The studio owner, Mykhaylo Konstantynov, provides training and coaching for the instructors in dance styles in which they do not yet have experience.
• Salary range / compensation structure:
The guaranteed base salary is $800.00 per week which is very competitive for Memphis which has a lower cost of living than many US cities. In addition to the base salary there are many opportunities for instructors to earn additional income, including additional lessons taught, showcase performances, Pro/Am competitions, and other bonuses. Our instructors currently average a salary of $70,000.00 per year.
• Visa / green card support details:
The studio sponsors the instructor for a green card which is good for 10 years. The process usually takes approximately one year, and the studio will cover the associated costs.
• Expected teaching schedule and working hours:
The studio is open from 11am to 9pm Monday through Fridav. Private and group lessons are 40 minutes each, and the minimum number of working hours is 40 hours per week. The instructors are expected to teach everv weekday and may add additional lessons on Saturday if they wish. The studio hosts an evening party every Friday from 7:45pm to 9:15pm that the instructors are expected to attend.
• Performances/competitions in addition to teaching:
There is a showcase performance at the studio everv three months, and the instructors are compensated for each number they perform.The studio takes students to Pro/Am competitions 3 to 4 times per year and the instructors are compensated for their time and the number of heats entered.
We are fortunate to have many extremely dedicated competition students and are well represented at competitions. In the past few years we have attended competitions in Atlanta, Georgia, Miami,Orlando, San Diego, Nashville, and New York City. In 2026 our studio was awarded Top Studio at the San Diego Beach Bash, and our instructors received numerous top teacher awards at Beach Bashand at the Manhattan Dance Championships.
• Travel and accommodation assistance for new instructors:
All flight costs incurred with moving to Memphis are covered for new instructors, as well as accommodations and all meals for the first 5-6 months of employment to help new instructors to get established before taking on those expenses. Currently most of the instructors live in an apartment community in easy walking distance to the studio.
• Preferred contract duration:
We ask for an initial contract period of 3 years.

We offer all stvles of ballroom dance and our students range frombeginners to very advanced competition students.
