Studio D is hiring!!! We are seeking an experienced Ballet Instructor to teach our Intermediate and Advanced Ballet classes. We can offer 7-10 hours of work per week beginning Mid September 2026. Ability to teach Pre Pointe and Pointe classes is ideal. Flexibility in scheduling- based on teacher’s availability. (M, T, W, Th)
Looking for a candidate that can balance discipline with joy, keeping Ballet engaging and accessible while maintaining high standards and expectations. Must have a strong background in Classical Ballet, and an ability to emphasize technique, alignment and musicality while fostering a positive, professional and encouraging classroom environment. Teachers are hired as independent contractors and paid hourly and will be responsible for choreographing dances for our Winter and Spring shows. Looking for a passionate and motivated teacher that can head up our Ballet program and who is a team player. We have a large group of dancers at the Ballet 3, 4 and 5 levels who are talented, motivated and passionate about dance. There are opportunities for leadership and advancement . Teachers with BA or BFA in dance and professional performance experience are ideal.
In addition, Studio D is looking to hire additional Teachers in the following styles: Jazz, Contemporary, Creative Movement and Ballet/Tap for young children. Many teaching hours available.

About Studio D Dance
Studio D is a progressive dance school now in its 22nd season, dedicated to developing strong, confident dancers, who are both skilled technicians and expressive artists. While the studio’s artistic focus centers on Modern/Contemporary Dance, students are given a strong technical foundation that includes Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. Under the Direction of Rebecca Anderson Darling, former Pilobolus dancer, Studio D fosters an environment where dancers and teachers work together to explore movement, create original choreography and develop individual artistic voice within a supportive and non competitive community. Rather than recitals, we produce full theatrical dance productions each spring as part of our “in motion” series. Studio D’s resident dance company is “D-tour Dance Company” provides dancers with meaningful artistic experiences that prepare them to grow as thoughtful, versatile performers. Studio D offers a wide range of classes and styles of dance: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Classes for young children and classes in Choreography, Acro and Pilates.
