Straight Up Dance Academy is seeking a passionate, organized, and motivating Competition Director to join our growing studio family for the 2026–2027 season!
At SUDA, we are committed to building not only strong dancers, but confident, respectful, hardworking young people. Our competitive program focuses on excellence, teamwork, accountability, growth, and creating a positive environment where dancers feel challenged, supported, and inspired.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a strong background in dance training and choreography
Works well with children of all ages and ability levels
Is positive, professional, organized, and dependable
Thrives in a team environment
Can help inspire dancers while maintaining high standards
Understands the importance of communication with staff and families
Is passionate about helping dancers grow both technically and personally
Responsibilities May Include:
Choreographing and cleaning competitive routines
Assisting with team placements and auditions
Teaching weekly rehearsals and technique classes
Attending competitions, conventions, rehearsals, and studio events
Helping maintain a positive and encouraging team culture
Communicating effectively with dancers, parents, and staff
Supporting the overall vision and growth of SUDA’s competitive program
