Renner Dance is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing dance instructor to lead our recreational dance program for students ages 3–18, beginning in Summer / Fall 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who loves working with children and wants to be part of a warm, professional, and well-established studio community. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping young dancers build confidence, technique, and a lifelong love of dance.

Renner Dance is a leading competitive youth dance studio that has been serving families in the Chapel Hill area for more than a decade. We offer high-quality dance instruction in a positive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to grow both as dancers and as individuals. Our recreational program serves students of all experience levels, from preschool dancers taking their first class to teens dancing for fun, fitness, and personal enrichment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach weekly recreational dance classes for students ages 3–18
- Lead summer camps and summer classes
- Teach multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and acro
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide constructive feedback that supports each student’s growth and confidence
- Prepare students for our annual recital
- Offer private lessons to students seeking individualized instruction
- Communicate professionally with parents and studio staff
- Arrive on time and prepared for each class
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching dance to children and teenagers
- Training in multiple dance styles
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and skill levels
- Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic
- Passion for working with young dancers
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in dance or related field
- Acrobatic Arts certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
