Overview
Reflections Dance Studio, a prominent well established dance studio in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia is seeking a full time accredited RAD Ballet instructor. The instructor must demonstrate the ability to instruct and develop technical training and instill a love for dance in students of all ages and levels from Recreational to Competitive divisions and be able to take students beyond the syllabus. The successful candidate must be proficient in preparing dancers for Graded to Vocational examinations as well as choreography for competition and year-end show performances.
Other applicants who show a professional dance focused education may also apply. Ability to teach other genres would be an asset, but not a must. Canadian citizenship or residency is required.
Successful candidate must be enthusiastic, possess good interpersonal/communication skills, and have the ability to demonstrate well while maintaining an encouraging, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. This position is offered for the September 2018-2019 dance season with the ability to extend contract for future seasons. Competitive wages are negotiated based on experience and certification.
