Overview
Dance Studio looking to hire 2-3 experienced instructors for the upcoming summer and 2015-2016 season.
Job would include: Teaching 3-5 weekdays (around 3 – 9 pm) and occasional weekends.|
Competition or Recreational Instructors needed.
Ages 6-18 in styles that may include: tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, contemporary and musical theater.
Parent communication, monthly instructor meetings, and private lessons outside of your normal teaching hours — additional paid office time and opportunities.
Choreographing pieces from small groups to productions (50+ dancers) to solos/duos/trios… As well as cleaning pieces set by outside choreographers
Ideal Candidate:
2+ years of competitive dance teaching experience
Strong recommendations and references, also examples of choreography
Punctuality and responsibility
Ability to work collaboratively
Strong communication & organizational skills
Strong work ethic and dedication to your job
Energetic, outgoing and positive personality
College degree or professional dance experience
Devotion to technique, cleanliness of routines and promoting team work
Knowledge of dance terminology and proper technique
Ability to teach acro/gymnastics skills is a PLUS
