Hip Hop & Jazz/Tap Dance Instructor — Phoenix Arts
Phoenix Arts is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable dance instructor for our Wednesday evening classes at our studio in Norristown, PA, in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Available classes:
Hip Hop: 6:00–6:45 PM
Beginner/Intermediate Teen Jazz & Tap: 6:45–7:45 PM
Candidates may apply to teach one or both classes.
We’re an inclusive studio that welcomes dancers of all abilities. We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, positive energy, and a love of teaching to help our dancers build technique and confidence.
Responsibilities:
Plan engaging lessons suited to students’ ages and abilities.
Teach foundational skills, proper technique, musicality, and choreography.
Offer clear instruction and encouraging, constructive feedback.
Create a welcoming classroom with strong classroom management.
Communicate with the studio director and work with student assistants.
Qualifications:
A strong dance background in the style you’re applying to teach.
Patience and enthusiasm for working with children and teens.
Strong communication skills and dependable attendance.
Willingness to learn and support our studio’s inclusive approach.
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate with a strong dance foundation!
