Seeking a Superstar Dance Teacher!
Do you love working with kids? Do you want to make a difference? Our established performing arts academy is seeking a positive and experienced person to join our team. We encourage a creative, fun, and energetic work environment. Enjoyment in teaching dance of a variety of styles, ability to communicate effectively, and flexibility in meeting individual student needs and goals is a must. We believe in building happy, healthy and responsible kids through art education.
September 2024 Opening – Looking for a commitment of at least 2 years . We offer an hourly rate based on experience and education. We are looking for a experienced teacher with a competitive and recreational teaching background. This position would start in September 2024-June 2025 and would be a mix of competitive teaching along with recreational dance based upon how many hours your schedule allows. We would have up to 5 days per week available or could split this up into multiple positions.
Lessons generally begin around 4:30pm on weekdays and at 9:00am on Saturdays, with instructor shifts usually falling between 4 and 5 hours per day.
Our Dance Teachers are responsible for:
~Creating lesson plans to meet each individual student’s needs and education goals
~inspire children by teaching dance lessons on a weekly basis
~Delivering quality instruction to a variety of ages and levels
~Selecting music and costumes for scheduled classes
~Choreographing age-appropriate dances for two showcases annually (winter and spring)
~Attending staff meetings and workshops as required
