Overview

Tap Director Job Duties:
Teach tap classes
Direct/oversee/support artistic and pedagogical aspects of the tap program
Choreograph original works for annual showcases
Choreograph tap for Affect (competition team)
Meet with students for auditions
Attend bi-monthly meetings with the artistic director and other dance directors
Report to the artistic director and operations director
Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience:
Loves to work with children ages 7+
Professional tap experience
Choreography experience
Large-scale tap production experience
Has taught intermediate and advanced levels in tap
Possesses excellent communication skills
Has patience and a friendly, positive attitude
Is reliable and trustworthy
Able to lead a team
Shares the philosophy and values of Nolte Academy

Hours and Pay:
Full-time salaried position
$30,000-50,000 commensurate with experience
Weekly hours vary depending on the season
Vacation and sick days package included
Receives partial credit towards Nolte academy classes for immediate family members
Job starting date September 1, 2020
Relocation financial support possible
