Overview
Love of Dance Studio is a family-owned dance studio located in Berkeley Heights, NJ dedicated to providing high-quality, personal dance instruction in a positive and encouraging environment. We strive to inspire a love of dance while helping each student build confidence, technique, and lifelong friendships.
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and experienced Dance Instructor to join our teaching staff for the 2026–2027 September–June dance season.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching children ages 3–12 and a strong background in Ballet technique. Candidates should be comfortable teaching Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. Experience or training in additional styles such as Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, and/or Musical Theatre is welcomed. Competitive dance teaching experience is beneficial.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching children ages 3–12
- Strong Ballet technique and teaching background
- Ability to teach Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical
- Experience or training in additional styles such as Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, and/or Musical Theatre is welcomed
- Friendly, dependable, and professional
- Passionate about working with children and creating a positive classroom environment
Schedule:
- Weekday afternoons and evenings (days/times to be determined)
- Saturday morning availability is a plus
- Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability
Responsibilities:
- Teach weekly dance classes for students ages 3–12
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate dance instruction
- Create a fun, safe, and structured learning environment
- Communicate professionally with studio staff and families
- Attend faculty meetings, dress rehearsals, competitions (if applicable), and annual recital performances
