About Loudoun Ballet Company

ABOUT Loudoun Ballet Company

Since 1978, the Loudoun Ballet Company (LBC) has provided young, talented dancers across Northern Virginia with pre-professional performance opportunities in some of the world’s most beloved ballets. The first regional youth ballet in Loudoun County, LBC was founded in 1978 and continues to grow and thrive, earning the title of Loudoun County’s “Best Performing Arts Group” every year since 2010. LBC-trained dancers have continued to dance through college, with professional dance companies, and on Broadway.

LBC is located in beautiful Loudoun County, Virginia. An area known for horse farms,
fox hunts, and a deep connection with American history, Loudoun County is approximately 28 miles west of Washington, DC. As a result of our proximity, we are fortunate to serve residents of neighboring counties such as Fairfax and Arlington, as well as residents across the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

The Loudoun Ballet Company is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization supported by donations, grants, patrons, sponsorships and advertisers and reaches
between 5,000 and 6,000 patrons each season. LBC has an equal opportunity policy and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, or religion.

In 2017, LBC entered into a partnership with Studio Bleu of Ashburn, Virginia. Through this partnership, LBC will call Studio Bleu’s Ashburn studio its home for rehearsals, master classes, and summer intensives. LBC will continue to draw its apprentices from ballet schools across Loudoun County and beyond.
