Overview
June Taylor’s School of Dance (JTSD), established in 1984, is recognized as one of the leading Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) schools in the Northwest (Tualatin, Oregon). Our school is seeking an additional Ballet teacher to join our staff that may be familiar with the RAD’s teaching philosophy. However, knowledge of the actual RAD Syllabus is not a requirement. Our class offerings begin with Towards Ballet (3 year olds) and continue through Pre-Professional levels. Our school has RAD Exams twice a year (Spring and Fall). Our students have several performance opportunities throughout the year with our full-length children’s classical ballet in June as well as through Northwest Dance Theatre, a non-profit pre-professional company established in 1988 that is affiliated with our school. Teaching schedule is negotiable and is approximately 12-20 hours per week. Additional hours available for applicants with experience in Tap, Jazz, Modern, Pilates, Open/Adult classes as well as choreography opportunities and administrative work (including social media/website).
