Overview
Jackson’s School of Performing Arts (JSPA) is Bermuda’s longest-established dance school, fostering creativity, discipline, and joy in students from age 2 to adults. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our faculty in September 2026 and to undertake some office/administrative work. The ideal candidate will be able to create age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans and teach dance classes for students ages 2 through adults.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies required:
BA or BFA in Dance preferred
A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
A proven background in the advanced instruction of Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance and experience choreographing these styles.
Experience teaching Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop/Street Style and pre-school ages would be a bonus.
Availability to work a variety of hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Must have own transportation.

Excellent technical knowledge across multiple dance styles
Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills
Ability to connect with, motivate and develop students of all ages
Professional, timely, reliable, and collaborative
Knowledge of safe dance practices and injury prevention
Passionate about nurturing both artistry and discipline in young dancers
