International Ballroom Dance Studios is a very successful and busy studio and we always have a place for a teacher who is open to investing in themselves and their students, but currently we have more students than we can fit on our schedules & are looking for experienced female & male instructors to join our winning team ASAP!  If you are looking to build a career, to be a successful Pro/Am ballroom teacher, and to make a good living in a beautiful place, then we are your studio!

International Ballroom Dance Studios is the premier ballroom dancing studio in the region.  If you’ve ever wanted a career that is both personally satisfying while still being professionally challenging, then consider joining our winning team! We want individuals with the right mix of energy, excitement, and personality to share the love of dancing throughout the greater Charleston area.  You must be self-motivated, outgoing, reliable, honest, confident, fun, patient, creative and excited about dance!

Full Time teaching hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-8:30pm.  Our current instructors each teach on average between 30 & 75 private lessons per week.  All staff are required to be certified in the Dance Vision syllabus American Style Bronze Program within the first year of employment, and are encouraged to move on to the higher levels of certification with raises in pay.  The higher your certification level, the higher your wages!  We offer a very competitive pay scale with health benefits for full time teachers.

We are a very competitive studio, attending many Pro-Am events throughout the year, and we have a number of Pro-Am Champions who train with our staff.  Our yearly competition schedule is full,  attending competitions such as Wisconsin State, Millennium Dance Sport, Empire Open, the US Dancesport Championships, Capital Dancesport, Emerald Ball, the Ohio Star Ball, and many others.  Leading adjudicators and coaches, including Rufus Dustin, Linda Dean, Marianne Nicole, Tony Meredith, Jonathan Roberts, Taliat Tarsinov and Edward Simon…to name a few, visit our studio on a regular basis working with our staff and students.

We currently hold 3 showcases in house per year and are involved with giving back to our community with the annual “LowCountry Dancing with the Stars” for the American Lung Association and our studio Holiday Ball, a fundraising event for orphans in the Ukraine at the Children’s Home of Poltava.  We also curate “Dance Adventures” for our studio where we travel to fun places around the world to dance socially.

We will train you in our teaching method & procedures, taking advantage of mentorship & team training to cover dance, business, teaching & sales topics. Our studio is run very much like a school, as each student follows the same syllabus in the beginning.  There is a lot of opportunity here at our studio to teach many private lessons and to be involved in all of our events and trips.
