PART-TIME DANCE INSTRUCTOR / CHOREOGRAPHER

House of T’heArts International, LLC was operating from New York and extending to 13 other nations through local workshops and online courses since 2009.  We have relocated, opening a Dance studio in Casselbury, Florida (Winter Park area near Orlando) this Feb. 2020.

House of T’heArts Orlando is looking for dedicated, reliable and experienced long term or seasonal dance instructors who want to share their passion, connecting body, mind, and spirit through movement.

This Casselbury, FL location is looking forward to teaching both recreational and preprofessional students. Instructors should have experience working with students of all ages and abilities, including adults. Our focus this first year is to prepare our dancers and strengthen their technique helping them move forward to a preprofessional program, preparing and motivating them to become the teachers of tomorrow!

Ideally, we are looking for an instructor to teach weekly classes to our beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students in the Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, African and Praise (liturgical) Dance.  We are also looking for music instructors to teach Piano, Voice, Guitar.  Instructors are responsible for weekly dance class lesson plans and choreography for holiday recital and our end-of-the-year recital.

All applicants should have a dance education and/or professional dance experience. Instructors must be able to teach proper technique and their own fresh choreography for our year-end performance. Successful applicants must have a solid understanding of correct dance vocabulary and anatomy. Applicants must also be willing and able to work evening hours. Instructors need to be dependable, upbeat, energetic, encouraging, professional and able to provide their own transportation to and from the dance studio.  Positions start Jan. 11, 2020.
