HCA is seeking an inspiring, highly organized Dance Studio Director to lead our vibrant and growing studio. This role blends artistic leadership with operational excellence: you’ll guide programming for both recreational and pre-professional dancers ages pre-K to adults, teach advanced-level ballet, mentor faculty, and ensure the studio thrives artistically and financially. While the studio is heavily based on ballet instruction, the studio also offers multiple genres of dance instruction.

If you’re passionate about shaping dancers, developing teachers, and building a studio community where every student can grow, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Advanced Ballet: Lead upper-level ballet classes with strong technical and artistic expertise.
Program Leadership: Oversee curriculum and programming for all levels—from young recreational dancers to serious pre-professional students.
Faculty Management: Recruit, hire, schedule, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff to maintain a high standard of instruction.
Studio Operations: Manage day-to-day studio functions, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for students and families.
Financial Oversight: Track and manage the studio’s P&L, enrollment trends, and budget to support sustainable growth.
Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the broader arts community.
Optional: Lead or support the production of stage performances, recitals, and special events.
Inter-departmental: Collaborate with other HCA Departments on collaborative organizational events.

Qualifications:

Assistant Director or Director-level experience in a dance studio or comparable performing arts environment.
Strong background in ballet technique and pedagogy, with the ability to teach advanced-level students.
Demonstrated experience managing staff, programming, or studio operations.
Solid understanding of budgeting, financial tracking, and P&L management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience producing dance stage productions is a plus, but not required.
