Heather’s Dance Inc. is a growing dance studio located in Knightdale, NC that promotes the growth of children’s confidence through the grace of dance.  We are looking to add a new Dance Instructor to our amazing HDI family. This specific Dance Instructor position is in the styles of Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary and Jazz, in levels beginner to advanced.

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s Degree in dance or performing arts

·      2+ years of instructing experience

·      Must be able to communicate well with others and have an enthusiastic personality

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Present a professional image to parents and general public

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

·      Assist in special events when needed

·      Instruct dance classes at agreed upon scheduled times

·      Choreograph age-appropriate, creative dances for the winter and spring performances

·      Arrange for substitutes to teach scheduled times when necessary

·      Cooperate with other department instructors in the organization and staging of Christmas and Spring recitals

·      Cooperate with other department instructors in the selection and ordering of costumes

Heather's Dance, Inc. was created for girls with the desire to improve their strength, coordination and grace through dance. Our atmosphere is one of energy and excitement. Our studio provides classes to accommodate all ages and ability levels, from the strictly recreational to the aspiring professional. We believe that dance is not just an ability to learn movement, it is a powerful experience that allows an individual to express emotions and gain self-confidence. Heather's Dance wants to provide a strong background and appreciation for the art of dance, through which they can continue to build upon throughout life.

We offer dance lessons for ages 3-18 in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Pointe and Tumbling.
