Overview

En Pointe School of Ballet is now hiring one to two instructors to join our ballet school. We are located in an elegant studio in Jordan Landing in West Jordan, Utah. We are in looking for a pre-ballet teacher for Wednesdays at 1:30 PM and Saturdays 10am-1pm. We are also looking for substitutes for all levels.

Our curriculum is based on the Cecchetti method. Other methods are welcome if you are willing to adapt to also include this one and teach the differences between methods. We are a non competitive studio and our students perform in a full length classical ballet annually the first weekend in June. We will be performing in Swan Lake in June 2025 And the Nutcracker in December.

Our Ballet program is year round, and our new season begins in July after a 3 week break in June after our June performances. This is a W-2 Employee position, not a 1099 contractor. Part time fixed weekly schedule with additional hours possible through substituting.

Instructors must be fun, encouraging, nurturing, and have knowledge of ballet terminology, methodology, and be capable of creating lesson plans and choreography.

Do not apply if you have not been trained in classical ballet or are not comfortable teaching children since this is what I am currently hiring for. Please submit a headshot, dance photo, and a resume to enpointeballet@comcast.net

About En Pointe School of Ballet LLC

En Pointe School of Ballet opened is 2010 and is a warm and caring place where the grace, elegance, and technique of classical ballet are offered in a friendly studio environment to students ages 3 through adults. Students are challenged to do their very best in an elegant studio and encouraging atmosphere that elevates them to excel. It is important to me that students always leave classes feeling good about themselves and their progress.

Our students perform in full length classical ballets and our studio now has a repertoire typical of a professional ballet company. I love sharing the traditions and elegance of ballet with our dancers and audiences.

A boys’ program was introduced to the curriculum in 2012 that has grown to include multiple boys classes, twice weekly men's classes, and 5 levels of partnering classes. This is the perfect place for a young man to train in ballet with other boys and to fully embrace the athleticism of ballet. They learn discipline, focus, and respect for the art form of ballet as well as musicality, coordination, flexibility and incredible strength.

We are committed to teaching high quality ballet technique in an environment that encourages self-worth, dedication, unity and integrity. The nurturing environment we have created here has been passed to our dancers as they support and encourage each other in the studio and on the stage.
