Job Title: Musical Theatre Teacher
Dept/Faculty: Musical Theatre

Start: August 2025

Location: Diverse Performing Arts Centre, The Curve Building, Al Quoz 3, Dubai
Responsible to: Head of Musical Theatre Department

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Musical Theatre Teacher will provide inspiring, creative, and dynamic classes, with a critical focus on instilling a love of performance and the tools to further develop students’ skills and technique. They will be actively involved in creating musical theatre class plans and developing the full-year plan with the higher MT department. They will also assist in the organisation of TRINITY and LAMDA exam sessions, as well as Musical Theatre productions. Additionally, the teacher will arrange and create inspiring pieces for both competitions and shows. The post holder will uphold and build upon the outstanding achievements of the MT teaching role to date while bringing their own influence and expertise to Diverse.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

To be confident and experienced in working with students on script work, stage direction, stagecraft/movement, and performance.
To actively research and develop new teaching ideas for Musical Theatre, staying updated with new industry trends and teaching practices.
To explore new repertoire and performances suitable for students.
To develop and deliver innovative projects for solo and group performances in collaboration with other departments.
To adhere to the standards within the department.
To teach as appropriate and by agreement with the Principals.
To assist with annual Musical Theatre shows, including researching new material and conducting performances as required.
To undertake administrative duties regarding general parent-teacher communication and assist in the organisation of examinations as needed.
To carry out any other duties that align with the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job and the ethos of Diverse, as requested by the Principals and the Head of Department.

Experience

Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience.
Professional performing background preferred but not essential.
Experience in providing private singing lessons tailored to prepare students for LAMDA Musical Theatre exams.

 

Remuneration:

WAGES
• Salary – Commensurate with experience.
