Overview
Dancing Little Stars mobile dance company is looking to hire teachers for our 2026/2027 dance season.
We operate in daycares, preschools, & elementary schools. Classes are 30-60 minutes in length. We pay per class, based on experience and we offer growth potential within the company. There is flexibility in scheduling; meaning that if there are some morning or afternoons where you aren’t available, we can work around that. However, once your schedule is set with us, it won’t change. You’ll be at the same locations at the same times each week, and we need you to be committed for the entire season which runs from September-May.
We are looking for instructors who are:
Responsible, doesn’t require continual oversight and communicates well
Committed: our instructors are contracted for a full dance season August/September through May
Safety-conscious, whose #1 priority is the safety of each child in their care
Caring, engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmations
Confident with 10 or more children in class at one time
Organized and plan ahead
Energetic, excited and always ready to make class fun!
Have reliable transportation
What we teach:
Most of our classes are preschool ballet and tap combination classes. We keep our classes fun and exciting for our dancers with our trademark curriculum. Most importantly we want to teach our young dancers to learn the love of dance, and then the technique will follow in the future. Dance experience is a plus, but more importantly, can you handle a group of 10 three year olds and love teaching every class. Working with children is something we don’t take lightly, and it’s imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but that you are incredibly passionate about it. We have a training program and orientation day to make sure you are confident going into your first class, and every class after that.
We host a Christmas performance & a full scale recital at the end of each season. Music and choreography are provided.
In addition to the requirements above, instructors must pass a DECAL background check.
Class pay starts at $35-$40 per class based on experience. Instructors have opportunities for bonuses and raises during the season.
We need a teacher in the Bluffton & Hilton Head Island area. Monthly gas allowance.

Dancing Little Stars, The Mobile Dance Company started in 1997. We offer children 2 to 11 years of age beginning Ballet and Tap instruction. We focus on poise, concentration, memory and balance… while having fun! Classes are held in preschools, daycare, and elementary schools.
