Overview
Dance Gallery of SD is in search of a positive-minded, high energy teacher with experience up to the advanced levels in Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Ballet. This contract would begin September 3rd, but about one week would be needed to train before classes begin. Our pay rate begins at $25-$50, but teachers with a college degree in dance, professional dance experience, or vast dance teaching experience will be offered a higher starting pay. Our studio offers a package that includes housing assistance. This is a one season contract (September 2024-June 1st, 2025) with an option to renew. Depending on areas of expertise, the contract could have 12 hours of teaching or more if candidate is interested in choreographing and cleaning dance pieces for competition.

Dance Gallery is a 7 studio dance studio in a thriving and fast growing community. Dance Gallery is primarily a dance training school, but also offers a competitive dance program that competes locally and regionally (YAGP). Dance Gallery also has a newly formed non-profit youth dance company called Dance Gallery Youth Ballet. Opportunities to choreograph for the company are available.
Dance Gallery has a strong ballet program that offers company opportunities for serious minded dancers. For the younger dancers, Dance Gallery follows the Leap N Learn curriculum. For beginner dancers to advance students have the option to take non syllabus ballet or Cecchetti syllabus with option to take a national ballet exam when fully prepared.
Sioux Falls, SD is a very fast growing city with great opportunities. It is a safe community with a thriving downtown and very strong school system.
