Dance Instructor/Dance Teachers Needed (Pacifica and Daly City)
Looking to hire a versatile dance teacher for ages 2-9 and primarily Pre-School students that can teach Pre-school studio curriculum, Acro, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, for classes ages 2-5 and 5-9. Substitute positions available as well. Weeknights and Weekends.
Compensation: $32-40 per hour teaching
Coastside Dance School LLC is located in Pacifica, CA by the Pier and a second location in Daly City. Be a part of this amazing and high enrollment/retention studio. Be a part of lots of performing events, Disneyland Parade, and teach with other wonderful staff members who have been with the studio for years.
Hiring professional, committed, dance career focused, experienced dance teachers and/or preschool teachers look for after day job work for our current 2025-2026 dance season and next 26-27 dance season. Applicants should have pre school teacher experience and/or dance studio training.
This job is right for a person who has a passion to work with small children and customer service with parents. A person who wants to grow in their dance education of teaching with support, training, and studio curriculum, and invest in the growth of their position with our studio for a since of belonging. Work events and attend monthly staff meetings. This is not the right job for someone looking to just show up, teach class and leave. Or only wants to teach teens and adults.

Duties:
– Implement specific dance studio curriculum for various age groups and skill levels.
– Teach dance techniques, choreography, and planned routines to students
– Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills
– Required to be at all of dance performances and recitals
– Create a positive learning environment for all students and parents
– Manage behavior, structure, and maintain discipline in the dance studio
– Utilize effective classroom management techniques
– Incorporate music, props, and costumes to enhance dance lessons
– Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to help with local community events and performances
-Receive and implement supervisor feedback for professional growth
-Nurture and communicate with parents about simple enrollment and dancewear questions. Guide parents with class information about dance performances.
Skills:
– Strong experience with working with Ages 2-9 in a classroom setting.
– Knowledge or willing to learn various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, etc.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to effectively manage a classroom of students
– Experience in behavior management techniques for children and adolescents
– Proficient in curriculum development for dance programs
– Familiarity with photography for videoing students for social media posts.
– Knowledge of early childhood education principles for teaching young dancers
– Theater experience for staging performances (preferred)
– Understanding of childhood development stages
