Temporary, Part-time
Schedule-1-10 hours per week, including overtime- Dance Classes take place Sun-Mon from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm with pre-school/toddler classes taking place Sun-Mon mornings at 10:00 am. Our Dance Experience Classes take place on Tues and Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.
Pay Rate-$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
This position can work with students from ages 3 through ages 18 based on class schedule. Experience working with students of varying backgrounds and abilities is required. Students will range from beginner to intermediate/advanced.
Extensive teaching experience in dance techniques for multiple styles is required. Experience choreographing dances for student recitals and showcases is required. Experience managing large class sizes preferred.
Extensive background dance education is required. College completion or in progress preferred.
Lead dance classes and guide dancer development throughout the course. Choreograph a routine to be performed in student showcases (Dec/April). Communicate supply/costume needs to supervisor(s) in a timely manner. Provide input on the program to supervisor(s) where appropriate. Working with other dance faculty to coordinate performance/rehearsal logistics may be required. Training and familiarization with EPACT (attendance/participant medical information) will be required at the time of hire.
