Overview

As Artistic Director and Head Instructor, this position reports to the Board of Directors and requires an individual with demonstrated creative artistry and a commitment to educational excellence. Working in conjunction with the Center’s founder and choreographer, you will be responsible for the artistic look and feel of all CCDE productions and for representing the Center locally. The role encompasses oversight of the dance training programming at the studio as well as the Center’s outreach activities.

First year salary is $40,000 with the opportunity for bonuses.

As a full-time staff member of the CCDE you’ll receive:

•           One week of paid vacation annually, increasing to two weeks in year three

•           Paid sick-time that accrues monthly

•           Career development as you work in conjunction with the Center’s founder and build experience in organizational leadership

•           The opportunity for a performance-based annual bonus

Location:

Home to two universities and a community college, Evansville is located in southwestern Indiana. The city is host to a thriving arts community that includes the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, the Evansville Museum, and a number of annual arts-focused events.
