Youth Competition Dance Coach
Company: CBS Dance Company
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Pay: $25 per hour
Schedule: Wednesdays and Fridays, 5:00–7:00 PM, with occasional Saturday or Sunday competitions
CBS Dance Company is seeking an energetic, dependable, and creative Dance Coach to train youth dancers for competitive performances. The ideal candidate loves working with children, creates engaging choreography, and can help dancers build their confidence, technique, teamwork, and stage presence.
Responsibilities:
Choreograph and teach competition-ready dance routines
Coach Hip Hop and additional dance genres
Lead structured, encouraging, and age-appropriate practices
Clean routines and prepare dancers for competition
Help dancers improve their technique, performance quality, and confidence
Maintain a positive, professional, and safe environment
Communicate effectively with the owner, coaching staff, dancers, and parents
Attend occasional weekend competitions and special events
Qualifications:
Strong choreography skills, especially in Hip Hop
Experience teaching or coaching youth dancers
Knowledge of multiple dance genres is preferred
Patient, positive, dependable, and professional
Passionate about mentoring and working with children
Able to commit to Wednesday and Friday practices from 5:00–7:00 PM
Available for occasional Saturday or Sunday competitions
Reliable transportation is preferred
