Dance Instructor

Overview

Black Pearl Dance Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Dance Teacher to join our team!

We are seeking a positive, energetic instructor to teach dancers ranging from Pre-K through high school in a variety of styles, including Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. This is a one-night-a-week teaching position, making it a great opportunity for a dancer, teacher, college student, or working professional looking for a part-time teaching role.

Responsibilities

Teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for students from Pre-K through high school
Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
Provide instruction in technique, musicality, coordination, and performance
Prepare students for end-of-season performances and recital
Maintain a fun, organized, and professional classroom
Communicate professionally with studio staff, students, and families
Ideal CandidateDance experience and/or teaching experience preferred
Comfortable teaching multiple dance styles
Energetic, patient, reliable, and enthusiastic
Enjoys working with children and teens
Able to create a fun environment while maintaining appropriate classroom structure
Willing to be a positive and supportive member of the BPDA team
Schedule: One evening per week

Ages: Pre-K through high school

Styles: Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Hip Hop
