Ballet Teacher Part-Time
At The Barre Dance Academy
Located in Rocky Mount, NC (around 45 minutes away from Raleigh, NC)
At The Barre Dance Academy is searching for a dedicated and experienced teacher/choreographer, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide young dancers on their dance journey. We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong ballet background and the ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels.
Schedule: Weeknights in the evening (4-5 hours weekly), can work with your schedule and possible do all on one night. Opportunity for privates and solo choreography
Responsibilities:
– Teach ballet, lyrical, and modern classes to students of varying ages and skill levels
– Inspire and motivate students through engaging and effective instruction
– Create choreography for recital dances and competition dances.
– Develop a strong ballet program for both recreational and competitive dancers
– Provide strong dance technique training for students starting as young as 4 years old
– Work with children with minimal existing ballet training and help them progress
Requirements:
– Strong ballet training and background
– Experience working with children and a passion for teaching
– Ability to inspire and connect with students
– Experience choreographing
– Ability to work with varying skill levels and ages
– Bonus if qualified to teach pointe
