Overview
Brand new dance studio in Noblesville, scheduled to open for registration July 2018, is looking for a Male Hip Hop Instructor. This position would include teaching the following classes once a week…All Boys Hip Hop, Jr. Hip Hop, Pre-Teen Hip Hop, Teen Hip Hop and Adult Hip Hop. Looking for someone who has prior teaching experience, but will consider someone new to teaching with prior studio/performance experience. The position will start in August of 2018 and conclude June of 2019 for a one season contract.
Looking for a Male instructor because I believe that in an effort to get more boys into classes, and curb the stigma, that having a male presence/ role model to set the example is vital to our success.
Responsibilities and Benefits:
– Instructor MUST have extensive knowledge of not only current Hip Hop styles, but also the love and respect of the history. Trends/Fads come and go, but history remains. Hip Hop is not just a dance style, it is a way of life. Any teacher brought on to take over my classes, MUST honor that.
– Teaching all Hip Hop classes for the 2018/2019 season.
– Greeting families/kids when they enter the studio.
– Taking attendance and making sure all students are present (awards given at the end of the year for perfect attendance).
– Help grow the Brand by creating (or bringing one you already have) a dance crew to perform at different events through the city/state. Use of studio for rehearsals will be free and available to you and crew.
– Help grow Brand through Social Media presence. YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook is a powerful marketing tool and important in studio as well as your own Brand growth as a dancer.
– Strong work ethic
– Free Ongoing training available through dance intensives held at the studio.
– Discounts to attend other conventions/ Master classes outside of the studio in an effort to stay current and relevant.
– Free use of studio space when available for Crew rehearsals
– Free page on company website to promote your own Brand cross promoting studio.
