Tap Dance Instructor
The Academy of Performing Arts Lake Zurich is seeking a passionate and experienced Tap Dance Instructor to join our unique and drama-free studio located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching students ages 8-18, from beginner to advanced levels. Responsibilities include planning lessons, choreographing recital dances, selecting costumes and music, and fostering a positive and supportive environment. Our studio values technique, terminology, and preparation for collegiate dance, and we are looking for someone who shares these priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience in teaching tap dance to various age groups and skill levels
Ability to choreograph and create engaging lesson plans
Strong organizational skills for recital preparation
A commitment to fostering a positive and educational experience.
The pay rate is based on experience
About Academy of Performing Arts Lake Zurich
Academy of Preforming Arts, offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and specialty classes such as Acro. We also offer classical ballet training through our own School of Ballet, leveled Ballet Program (LBP).
We strive to provide the best environment for students to develop a love of dance, and accomplish his or her individual goals. Our professional staff offers classes that are educational; teaching the proper terminology and technique, while being motivating and fun.
The Academy of Performing Arts Lake Zurich offers students an exceptional and progressive dance curriculum. We have class offerings appropriate for student’s two-and-half years old through elementary school, high school and beyond.
We motivate dancers regardless of experience level: from recreational dancers to more serious students and even pre-professional young dancers.
