Barefoot Dance Studios is looking for a motivated and qualified teacher to potentially add to our year round teaching faculty. Since 2007, Barefoot Dance Studios has been bringing an inclusive approach to our customers in Rapid City, and the extending communities. Pay:
- Pay is dependent on experience. $22-$50/hr
- Professional development assistance
Experience:
Dance Teaching or Performing Experience : 1-3 years (Preferred)
Seeking candidates with reputable certifications or degrees in the industry
Experience/Certifications in Acrobatics and Musical Theatre is a plus!
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in various studio dance styles and techniques
- Experience working with students in a classroom or instructional setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience training and performing proper dance techniques
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with children and young adults
- Ability to demonstrate dance movements and techniques effectively

Duties:
- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Choreograph dance routines for performances, competitions and recitals
- Collaborate with other dance instructors and staff members to coordinate events and performances
- Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and styles in the dance industry
-Please note that this position will require evening and weekend availability to accommodate class schedules and performances.
