Overview

We have a potential teacher that could be moving out of state due to her full-time job.  We are not sure when this could take place so we want to be prepared.  Looking for substitutes to be on our call list and this could potentially lead to a part-time position throughout the year.

We are also just looking for substitute teachers to help out.

Our established performing arts academy is always seeking dance and music teachers to join our team for substitutes which could turn into a permanent teaching position in the future. We encourage a creative, fun, and energetic work environment – the commitment we ask of our instructors and staff is that they are friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking.

Classes generally begin around 5pm weekdays and at 9:00am on Saturdays, with instructor shifts usually falling between 3 and 5 hours per day. Ideal candidates would be well-versed in numerous styles such as jazz, tap, poms, ballet, hip hop, HOWEVER, we still accept applicants who are only focused on ballet/jazz technique or hip hop. We’re especially interested in those experienced and enthusiastic about working with all ages starting at age 2 through teens.

Part-Time Dance Teachers are responsible for:
~Creating and submitting lesson plans (some classes are based on established curriculum)
~Delivering quality instruction to a variety of ages and levels
~Selecting music and costumes for scheduled classes
~Choreographing age-appropriate dances for two showcases annually (winter and spring)
~Attending staff meetings and workshops as required

We are located in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Interested in applying? Please submit a resume and include three things that stood out to you about the position.

We look forward to hearing from you!
~Please do not apply if you see yourself working here for a short period of time. We are looking for someone for at least 2 years unless you are just interested in subbing.
