Overview

A growing school is seeking instructors.  Instructors at Dance Gallery teach character development and leadership skills to youth and adults. The ideal candidate will have strong skills and significant experience in teaching several dance styles which may include tumbling, aerial silks, ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and tap. Other experience includes choreographing and staging performances, creating lesson plans appropriate for different skill levels/ages, and facilitating a safe and positive classroom environment. Candidates must be comfortable with and enjoy teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels from very young children through adults.

Other Qualifications Include:

The ability to set and remain accountable to personal goals
To be coachable and eager to learn new skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to be an effective mentor/teacher to students and to be able to communicate with parents and staff.
Working as an effective team member staging productions, participating in special events, and attending regular staff training and meetings.
As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to provide examples of their past choreography or invited to teach as a guest instructor.
